Context
Listing something for sale is tedious. Swiflist lets a seller describe an item by voice and photo and turns that into a structured listing.
What I did
- Originated the product and set the architecture and stack. A second developer writes most of the application code.
- Used an LLM for structured extraction from what the seller says and shows.
- Built hybrid semantic search: pgvector similarity and Postgres full-text search, combined with Reciprocal Rank Fusion.
- Run production on Django and PostgreSQL on Oracle Cloud behind Nginx with TLS and SPF/DKIM email.
